Job Summary
The Security Manager is a senior leader who will organize and oversee all security operations of our company. The Security Manager will develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards.
The security manager shall demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. A strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement extensive security plans, policies and procedures to protect personnel, assets and information.
- Lead, train and supervise a team of security personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Manage access control systems, surveillance equipment and other security technologies to ensure proper functioning and effectiveness
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as human resources and IT, to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
- Investigate security breaches, incidents and violations, document findings and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security capabilities.
- Educate employees on security awareness, policies and procedures through training programs and communication initiatives.
- Stay informed about the latest security technologies, trends and regulatory requirements and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.
- Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology).
Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in security management, law enforcement or the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies, incident management software and other security-related equipment, such as access control systems and CCTV surveillance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and programs.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations and industry standards pertaining to security and safety in Syria.
- Proficiency in security assessments, audits and investigations at a large scale.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse security team.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Physical fitness and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
Preferred Skills:
- Relevant professional certifications in security management or related areas, like Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Certified Security Manager (CSM).
- Knowledge of emergency response planning and incident management.
- Ability to adapt to changing security threats and technologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Training or experience in emergency response and crisis management.

- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Security Management within the Oil & Gas, energy, or related Police / Military Experience.
Work Environment:
- Full time work in an Oil & Gas Field in a remote area.
