- Gulfsands – Halliburton –...
Great partnerships are built around the table as well as in the boardroom and the field.
Following our highly successful two-day technical workshop between Gulfsands, Halliburton, Dijla and Syria Petroleum Company, We were delighted to host a dinner at the spectacular rooftop restaurant of the Golden Mazzeh Hotel in Damascus, bringing together the workshop participants alongside distinguished guests from Syria’s business and banking communities.
Over two days, the workshop provided an excellent opportunity to review and challenge the Field Development Plan for Block 26, with a particular focus on how leading-edge technologies can maximise operational efficiency, enhance hydrocarbon recovery and support the long-term development of Syria’s energy sector.
We were also pleased to welcome representatives from the Syria Britain Business Council, the US-Syria Business Council, members of the Syrian business and banking communities, together with our valued partners at SPC. Bringing together technical experts, business leaders and industry stakeholders created an outstanding environment for sharing ideas, strengthening relationships and exploring opportunities for future collaboration.
The enthusiasm, experience and expertise demonstrated throughout both the workshop and the dinner were truly inspiring. The quality of the discussions, the willingness to share knowledge and the shared commitment to innovation reinforced my confidence in the significant opportunities ahead for Block 26 and for the Syrian energy industry as a whole.
By combining international technical expertise, innovative technologies and strong local partnerships, we are building a foundation for sustainable growth and long-term value creation that extends well beyond a single project. Together, we have an opportunity not only to unlock the full potential of Block 26, but also to contribute to the rebuilding and modernisation of Syria’s energy sector.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to such a productive and engaging few days. We look forward to continuing this collaboration as we work together to unlock the full potential of Block 26 and help shape the next chapter of Syria’s energy future.
