- Gulfsands & Halliburton Workshop
Collaboration, knowledge-sharing and strong partnerships are essential to turning development plans into successful projects.
Last week in Damascus, it was a pleasure to host a two-day technical workshop with experts and colleagues from Gulfsands, Halliburton and our partners at Syria Petroleum Company, thoroughly analysing our Field Development Plan for Block 26.
Halliburton’s international expertise and experience, together with Gulfsands’ and SPC’s in-depth knowledge of the country and our Block 26 assets led to insightful and inspiring discussions as we optimised our approach to the development. I am particularly excited about the potential we see from bringing leading edge technologies to Syria.
Discussions covered well intervention, production optimisation, drilling, field monitoring, digital technologies and operational excellence, all supporting the optimisation of Gulfsands’ comprehensive Field Development Plan (“FDP”) for Block 26.
Built on decades of data and more than three years of detailed technical work by Gulfsands, our Block 26 FDP provides a clear roadmap to restore and grow production from current levels, beyond prior peak production and ultimately, after a high impact exploration campaign, to a long-term ambition of over 100,000 boepd.
We are extremely proud of the work completed by the Gulfsands team and grateful to our colleagues at Halliburton and Syia Petroleum Company for their expertise, insight and collaborative spirit.
This workshop represents another important step in Gulfsands’ re-entry into Syria, the long-term, sustainable redevelopment of Block 26 and the rebuilding of the Syria Energy industry.
