SPC/Gulfsands Meeting Sept 2026

It was a pleasure to meet again in Damascus with SPC President and CEO, Eng. Yousef Qiblawi, at the Syrian Petroleum Company Head Office to advance our ongoing cooperation and investment in Syria’s energy sector.

Building on our return to operations in Syria, our discussions focused on advancing the development of Block 26, including the investment, infrastructure and technical capability needed to strengthen operational reliability and support safe, sustainable production growth.

Priorities include rehabilitating facilities, strengthening operational reliability, and preparing for future production and exploration activity — underpinned by strong standards of safety, responsible stewardship and local capability development.

We thank SPC’s President for his strong leadership and continued support as we work together to advance these priorities.
