Minimum Qualifications:

- Relevant Postgraduate qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10-20 years in Oil & Gas Business Development
- Experience working in the Middle East, North Africa, particularly in Syria,
- Experience of leading critical negotiations and complex stakeholder management including experience of dealing with IOCs and NOCs
- Transacting in MENA markets and complex environments
- Project and change management experience
Technical Skills:
- Technical oil & gas knowledge and operational experience in onshore oil & gas projects
- Familiarity with oil & gas contracts (PSCs, JoAs, Farm In/Farm Out)
- Experience in drafting key commercial communication & developing deal construct
- Experience in market research & good analytical skills
- Familiarity with operational requirements of International oil and gas companies
- Experience in governance and risk management frameworks and the reporting there-of
- Understanding of technological innovations in the oil & gas industry (to include minimizing environmental impact, and increase operational efficiency/reduce costs/increase revenue)
- Crude Oil pricing and Gas markets - experience in hydrocarbon price history and forecasting, understanding netbacks and in negotiating oil/gas sales agreements and transportation contracts
- Prepare and deliver organisational structures, and execute appropriate policies and procedures
Business Development:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities (such as acquisitions, joint ventures, new market entry)
- Evaluate and deliver M&A operational change via evaluation and strategy
- Change and transition management during M&A processes
- Manage technical, corporate governance, and industry developments, to meet Company challenges
Financial:
- Benchmarks the Company’s and target’s operations metrics against best practice and ensures best value in operations and transactions
- Experience in Financial modeling, investment analysis, project economic & key business matrix
- Strong commercial awareness and cost-effectiveness
- Familiarity with financial metrics and operational optimization
Stakeholder Relations:
- Experience in managing relationships with governments, investors, and partners
- Active networking in relevant industry forums, investment houses, banks, and family offices and participates in relevant industry forums
- Ability to handle public accountability platforms and report to various stakeholders
- Relationship building with stakeholders
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders effectively
