Job Summary
The CSR Manager is a senior leader responsible for the company’s CSR, sustainability, and community engagement initiatives. This role acts as the primary link between the company, local communities, government bodies, and internal leadership to ensure responsible operations, mitigate social and environmental risks, and enhance corporate reputation. The manager will oversee the development and implementation of programs that align with national and international ESG “Environmental, Social, and Governance” frameworks, delivering tangible benefits to stakeholders while supporting the company’s business objectives
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement & Government Relations
- Community Relations: Build and nurture relationships with local communities, indigenous peoples, and civil society to address concerns, foster goodwill, and ensure smooth operational activities.
- Government Liaison: Act as a trusted advisor to the Field Operations Manager on public affairs and act as the company's representative in meetings with government authorities, regulators related to the Field Operations.
- Stakeholder Mapping: Conduct stakeholder mapping and manage communication flows to support operational needs, manage conflicts, and ensure alignment with corporate communication strategies.
- Grievance Mechanisms: Oversee the establishment and management of effective grievance redress mechanisms to address community and stakeholder concerns transparently and effectively
- Compliance & Reporting
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor policy and regulatory developments in the energy sector, providing insights on risks and opportunities related to CSR and social performance.
- Sustainability Reporting: Lead the preparation of the company's annual CSR/Sustainability Report, ensuring accurate measurement and communication of performance against key materiality factors .
- Risk Management: Develop and implement a CSR risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate social, environmental, and governance risks associated with company operations.
- Leadership & Representation
- Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert on CSR and sustainability, representing the company upon Field Operations Manager direction.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the CSR team and coordinate efforts with other departments (Operations, Legal, HSSE, Communications) to drive a culture of sustainability
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of CSR/ESG frameworks and standards.
- Good project management skills, including budgeting, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder mapping and management capabilities.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to influence senior leaders and build consensus across diverse groups .
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities .

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Science, Environmental Science, Business Management, Communication, International Relations, or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in CSR, Sustainability, Government Relations, Community Development, or Public Affairs within the Oil & Gas, energy, or related heavy industry sectors.
Work Environment:
- Full time work in an Oil & Gas Field in a remote area.
