Notification of Shareholding

Gulfsands Petroleum plc (“Gulfsands”, the “Group” or the “Company” – AIM : GPX), the oil and gas production, exploration and development company with activities in Syria, Iraq, Tunisia, Italy and the USA, announces that the Company has been advised on 5 October, 2011 that on 27 September 2011 Mr George Robinson ceased to be a substantial shareholder in the Company.
